In this piece, the sense of upward motion was particularly compelling to me. There's an energy that lifts your gaze, inviting you to explore the space beyond the canvas. This work is closely related to the painting in my previous post, yet has a completely different energy.

This piece was the first in a “comeback” series I made years after quitting the art academy. Its bright colors and simple composition reflect a defiant naivety - a bold response to the dense, incomprehensible art and jargon that once stifled me and led me to step away from the art world (for a while!). This style has since become my signature, one I’ve practiced with great satisfaction over the years.

This piece was inspired by a lonely boat I spotted drifting near my home. It stirred feelings of blissful solitude in me, but also a deep desire to care. The boat seemed so small and vulnerable in the vast blue waters.
